The AME Data Translation System (AME–DTS) painlessly unites the world of batch controls and the world of accounting. The AME–DTS is comprised of two major components. The first is the AME–DTS Data Recorder. The AME–DTS Data Recorder transparently gathers the data that your control panel sends to its printer. This information is stored in an intermediate buffer for later retrieval by a computer for processing.

Why access the printer information? The printer receives information that is normally not found at the order entry side of the controller. This information includes actual batch weights, customer delivery information, and special instructions to the drivers. This information, more specifically, is the actual batch data, not the estimated data that an order entry system creates.

The second component of the AME–DTS is the AME–DTS Data Translator. This software converts the printer information and/or the order entry information into a format that can be accepted by most of today’s accounting packages. Because, like snow flakes, no two accounting systems or control panels are exactly alike, the AME–DTS Data Translator is customized for each installation.
